Kien Giang Trading Joint Stock Company (KTC), formerly known as Kien Giang Tourism and Trading Limited Company, was transformed pursuant to Decision No. 1555/QD-UBND dated 21 July 2017 issued by the People’s Committee of Kien Giang Province, the company has transformed into Kien Giang Trading Joint Stock Company (KTC), creating a new turning point in business autonomy for development.

Currently, KTC operates in a variety of industries, in which the main fields of business can be mentioned such as processing, trading and exporting rice - canned seafood, petroleum and real estate business, etc. In particular, in the field of export, KTC is proud to be in the top 7 rice exporters & top 10 canned tuna exporters in Vietnam.

In order to improve the strong development momentum after equitization, KTC always gives its priority to innovation in many areas such as corporate governance; application of information technology in management and administration of production and business activities; boldly applied the quality management system according to ISO 22000:2018, HACCP and was granted the certificates of IFS, DOLPHIN SAFE, KOSHER, HALAL, BRC, BSCI by the world’s leading independent appraisal organizations, meets the Food standards according to FDA, and is qualified to export products to the US, EU, South America, Asia, Africa, Middle East countries.

HISTORY

1996

Kien Giang Trading Company was established on the basis of merger from Kien Giang General Materials Company and Kien Giang General Trade Company.

1998

The Company develops the rice export business to foreign markets.

2006

Kien Giang Trading Company was established on the basis of merging Kien Giang Tourism Company and Kien Giang Trading Company with its charter capital of 389 billion VND.

2009

Officially participate in the real estate market by investing in the project of Bac Duong Dong New Urban Area (67.5ha) in Phu Quoc, contributing to the expansion of Duong Dong town to the Northwest. Simultaneously, establish and put into operation Tan Hiep Rice Exporting and Processing Factory and Giong Rieng Rice Exporting and Processing Factory.

2010

The company converted the type of enterprise according to the provisions of Enterprise Law into Kien Giang Tourism and Trading Limited Company.

2012

Develop the canned fish export business, establish and put into operation KTC Canned Foodstuff Manufactory (KTCFOOD) with an average capacity of 80,000 – 100,000 cans per day.

2015

Officially distribute petroleum to trading partners in Kien Giang and neighboring provinces.

2017

Be transformed into Kien Giang Trading Joint Stock Company (KTC), create a new turning point in business autonomy. Develop domestic trade, sell KTCFOOD branded canned fish products and KTC rice with strong growth over the years.
